The Media Center is at the heart of Zama
High School's information resources. Its wide range of books include references such as
encyclopedias, biographies, fiction, as well as a special section devoted to books on Japan.
All of the books are organized with the Columbia Library System and can be searched
through the Online Public Access Catalog.
The Media Center is the classroom for the Video Productions classes and the Broadcasting
team. Video Productions students have access to professional video editing decks
and cameras to film and assemble their original productions. The Video Productions classes
are responsible for creating the annual ZHS Video Yearbook, a compilation of memorable events,
sports, and candids from the school year.
One of the greatest strengths of the Media Center lies in its information network.
All of the Media Center workstations have access to the Campus Server, and
its eight online CD-ROM databases. The Video Productions students utilize
Power Macintosh computers connected to the campus network for rendering and designing
logos and animations for the Video Yearbook, as well as for creating Hyperstudio
presentations.
